Feeling Good, Feeling Great

I got up this morning at 6:00 and went jogging. It felt great. Then I took a shower, put on my bra and underwear and walked passed my full length mirror and did a double-take. I'm starting to look good! :) It feels so good to notice a difference, no matter how small. It gives me the motivation to get up and jog tomorrow!

Nip/Tuck

My blog got a face-lift! The other layout was too dark for me. I'm a much cheerier person and this look suits me better. :)

You Make Bath Time Lots of Fun!

Just a word out to the mommies who read my blog, this bath duckie is wonderful! Soft, safe, a great size, and Halle loves it. The duck even quacks if you squeeze it's bill. :) It's so cute!

Slow and Low... that is the Tempo

So I started training for a triathlon a couple weeks ago. This is the first time I've ever started exercising without weight loss as a goal. It's such a different experience. I'm really enjoying the bike rides (except when I'm biking against 14 mph winds) and I'm starting to enjoy the jogging for brief periods of time. I definitely like the feeling of accomplishment and progress. It's so nice to get done with a workout and know I did something I couldn't have done a week ago. That part I like. The hard part is trying to get enough workouts in. Part of me wishes I was spending more time training and the other part of me is happy to be spending as much time with my daughter as I can, sleeping as much as I can, getting other stuff done around the house that has to be done. So, I probably won't have as much training in as I could before the competition, and I probably will be one of the last people to cross the finish line, but I'm happy with the balance in my life right now. And I'll be thrilled just to cross the finish line!

Hopping on the BlogWagon

Several of my friends have recently started their own blogs, and I love to read about what's going on in their lives. I have a blog for my daughter, Halle (www.babykonicki.com), but I'm limited in that format to things that are only specific to her. So hopefully this blog will serve to update my family and friends on my life from my perspective. And hopefully, hopefully, hopefully it will encourage others to start their own blogs because I really would love to read about your adventures too!
