An Eventful Three Days

In the span of three days, I competed in a triathlon and appeared on national TV.

Sunday, Jason and I and five other friends competed in the Health First Triathlon in Melbourne. We all had a blast and did very well. Some of us were fast and competitive, some of us very slow (me), but we all enjoyed ourselves. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for some motivation to get their booty off the couch. If you're thinking "If Nikki can do this, I can do this!" you're absolutely right.

Today, the Montel show aired. I was pretty happy with it. Hopefully something good comes of it.
Thank you to everyone who sent their words of encouragement and support for both my efforts at the triathlon and the Montel show. It really means a lot to me that I have so many wonderful people who love and support me. I can't thank all of you enough. But I'll say it one more time. THANK YOU!

So proud of you all! :) It was cool to see you all excited throughout the training and to see the wonderful end product!

Also, you looked pretty darn good all 'hookered up' for Montel! Very well spoken too! I'm glad that Laurie spoke up when that guy gave his "get over it" speech! Hopefully this show will spark that needed piece of information to solve the case!

Yeah, I was mad for you guys when he made that speech. I mean your life has gone on, but how can you ever truly "move on" from something like that. It's like telling people who lost everything in the hurricane to forget about it.

You did look good. All that training paid off!

My lord what a week! Wow- I'm just now catching up with your posts! I'm so bummed I don't get to see you all "hookered up"! But on the serious side, I really hope this helps move the case forward...I'm proud of you for embracing the Montel opportunity - I probably would have been too scared...but I guess you're a tri-athelete now- wow- I'm SO amazed with your courage and determination right now! I miss you much and hope that everything is going great!
