WOAH

I just got an email from Joe DuBois, the real Joe DuBois, with information on how to set up my reading with his wife, Allison.

Woah.

I don't know if any of you out there watch the show Medium, but I do. It's based on a real woman who has helped solve crimes using her psychic abilities. I sent an email to her almost three years ago asking for information about having a reading done and I'm finally at the top of the list.

It would cost $1000 to have a one-hour mediumship reading where she would attempt to communicate with my father (who, for anyone who doesn't know, was murdered almost four years ago, and the case has gone unsolved). I've done some research online and of course there are a lot of people who think she's a complete fraud. And a lot of people who think she's the real deal. I find this article particularly interesting.

I'm somewhat conflicted about what I should do.

I'm kinda leaning towards having the reading though. I mean, yeah, worst comes to worst, I'm out some money. And its not that the money doesn't mean anything to me, but there has been so little that I've been able to do in this case that I have trouble passing up the opportunity to do anything at all. Of course, I had this same philosophy when I agreed to go on the Montel Williams show and that proved to be completely worthless.

For the record, I don't expect this reading with Allison to solve my dad's case. What I do expect is to hear things I already know (things that will wow me that she could know, but nothing that I didn't already know). That's not really worth the money to me. But what if there really is something that he can tell me?

Anyway, I'm curious what you guys think.

I'm a huge fan of Medium, almost addicted to it and I'm a believer. If you need somebody to go with you for support I'm there :)

If you have the money, and it wouldn't affect your budget. I would do it in a heartbeat.

I don't know what I believe in regard to psychics. But I agree with Erica, if you have the money and it's doable, it is worth seeing what's out there. If nothing else, like you said, it may help you to feel like you are taking a step forward. Let us know what you decide!

Did you go on montel? Did you see Sylvia Browne? I think that woman is a complete fraud, but i do beleive that there are those out there that have a 6th sense, and if the show is anything close to reality, then i bet it would be interesting. I'm going to be a broken record with erica and angelle - if you can afford it, and you feel it would bring you a fraction of some peace, what could it hurt? Money is just paper. If you do go for it, i look forward to hearing about what happened :)

I think at this point you'd always wonder "what if?" and regret passing up the chance if you didn't try it.

And, if I understand correctly, she isn't a "psychic" in the traditional sense of getting your palm read or your fortune told, but a "medium"; right? She would connect you to your dad, not predict things that haven't yet happened; right?

Would you have to go somewhere to get the reading done or would it be over the phone or something? Are there additional travel expenses involved?

I agree with all the ladies above... if you don't do it, you will always wonder what you could have found out. I say what the hell, go for it.

I mean, isn't the government about to send you a big check? That should cover it!

I dont know much about mediums, but i do know there is something that happens after we die... i've had two experiences in my life with 'ghosts', and i know personally that they can communicate by touch and movement. and if this medium can 'talk' to them then i think that no matter how much it cost, personally i would do it. if you dont, you will always wonder 'what if?'.....

Holy crap!! I absolutely love that show and have a lot of respect for the character, so if she is anything like that in real life than I would have a lot of faith in her experiences and visions....I definitely think you should take advantage of this opportunity!!!

I love that show. I have personally been to Casadega 2 times and met with mediums. I think there are frauds out there but she is the real deal! She has helped solve so many crimes with information that could not have been known unless she was the real deal! I can't wait to hear!

With that being said, you have to do what feels right for you and your family. If this could give some peace or closure then I think it's worth it. Good luck!

Was just watching Medium and wondering "What did Nikki decide to do?" Are you ready to share your decision?
