Thanks, guys, for the support regarding my last post. I had a rough week, which isn't too good when you're 32 weeks pregnant with a "high risk" pregnancy.
As a side note, I don't really think of this pregnancy as being high risk, but I guess because of the preterm labor last time and the supposed gestational diabetes, I noticed that my doctor had checked the box for "high risk" on the write up from my last visit. I actually think he did that so the insurance company will pay for the ultrasound I just had, but anyway.
What I really wanted to blog about was the fact that I did stand up for myself. Told my boss how I felt about the stress this week and told him that I wouldn't be working nights and weekends from here on out. It's not fair to my family, it's not fair to this baby inside me, and its not fair to me. He was very understanding about it, and all is good.
** As another side note, I just want to comment on the fact that we working women have it so much rougher than men, and I don't think they realize that. When the men come home from a long week of long hours, they come home to a house full of groceries, a cooked meal, their kids taken care of, bathed, fed, their laundry done, their clothes ironed, a clean house, etc. It just doesn't quite work that way for us.

You go Nik!
And, I totally agree with you... Dad's just don't get it!
True, but I meant more like male-coworkers don't get it. Jason has been wonderful. :)
Hooray for sticking up for yourself!
Good for you! It is definitely harder for working moms than working dads. I too have a great hubby who is extremely helpful (seriously he does so...much and I can't complain). I just naturally do a lot of the housework, errands, doctors appointments, etc. I have a pretty great boss (who is a father) but I have to remind him daily that I have two little ones that I have to attend to :)

That is awesome that you stuck up for yourself and your boss was very receptive. It's never easy to confront a situation like that, but it always feels good to be true to your heart, doesn't it? I'm glad it worked out so well.
Wow...I'm so proud of you. I'm working on getting the courage up...and let me just say AMEN sista to the last line!!!
